In the dance between imagination and reality, sometimes the universe choreographs moments so precise they take our breath away. Today, I want to share with you a story that spans nearly four decades – from the pages of a 1987 manuscript to the crystal waters of March 18, 2025.

In 1987, I wrote about Xandrah, a mystical being taken from her crystal cave by the "Minds of Science," lifted away from her son Oyasin by helicopter chains. It was pure imagination then – or so I thought.

Fast forward to March 18, 2025, Year of the Wooden Snake. The SpaceX Dragon capsule, like a modern-day Xandrah, descended from the stars into the Crystal Sea. But what happened next sent shivers of recognition through my soul: dolphins – the finned ones – came to greet the Dragon, just as the swimming beings were called to welcome Oyasin the Young Dragon in the story finally in print by 2007.

The parallels don't end there. Let's trace back to August 2024, Year of the Wood Dragon, when young Oyasin Dragon in our story took his first flight, he landed near a rare white buffalo! An extraordinary twist of fate, a Sacred White Buffalo was indeed born in the wild and acknowledged by the Lakota, Chief Averol Looking Horse in June 2024. When Oyasin landed, many beings came to greet him and the White Buffalo and someone sang out, “Mitakuye Oyasin! Someone tell the Swimming-Beings”.
June of 2024, Wakan Gli, “Sacred Return” was born for real.
Mitakuye Oyasin, means, “We Are All Related” “All Our Relations”. and this is who Oyasin met when he gathered his courage to find his mother and father.

As I watched the Dragon capsule pierce through the atmosphere, withstanding temperatures of 3,500 degrees like a true dragon egg, I couldn't help but marvel at how science and spirit dance together. Here was Xandrah, returning from the "Minds of Science" not in chains, but in triumph – a testament to human ingenuity and the enduring power of story.

What does it mean when our stories begin to write themselves into reality? When the boundaries between prophecy and technology blur? Perhaps it's a reminder that our imaginations aren't just flights of fancy, but glimpses into possible futures, waiting to manifest.
All were safe aboard the Dragon that day, just as Xandrah may possibly find her way back to Oyasin in the upcoming series. In this Year of the Wooden Snake, as we witness these ancient stories weaving themselves into our modern tapestry, I'm reminded that magic isn't lost – it is simply taking new forms.
