The Rose Moon June 2025

🌸 Rose Moon: The Sacred Return 🌿

🌹 The Rose Full Moon - June 11th, 2025 🌕

Full Rose-Pink-Strawberry Moon
Full Rose-Pink-Strawberry Moon

As Grandmother Moon reaches her fullest bloom on June 11th, she arrives adorned in the sacred essence of the Rose—a time of deep love, healing, and the return of ancient wisdom to our hearts. This Rose, Pink or Strawberry Full Moon carries special significance, for it illuminates the path of Wakan Gli's Sacred Return.

Just as the Morning Glory Meetings begin each day with gratitude to Grandfather Sun, we gather under this Rose Moon to honor the sacred prophecy fulfilled. In June 2024, Wakan Gli—Sacred Return—was born in Yellowstone, the all-white Buffalo named by Chief Averol Looking Horse of the Lakota Tribe. Now, one year later, this Rose Moon calls us to celebrate the fruits of this sacred return.

🍓 The Teachings of June's Sacred Fruits

"Mother Earth sooooo loves Grandfather Sun. She dances around him every day to show her appreciation."

As Mother Earth dances her summer celebration with Grandfather Sun, she offers us the sacred fruits of June—each carrying medicine for our souls:

🍓 Wild Strawberries - The heart-shaped gifts that teach us about sweetness earned through patience. Like Cheyenne finding her way home to Willow, these first fruits remind us that the sweetest rewards come to those who trust the journey.

🍒 Cherries - Ruby jewels hanging like tiny moons, teaching us about abundance and sharing. Just as the Willow Tribe gathers for the Morning Glory Meeting, cherries grow in clusters, reminding us we are stronger together.

Elderberries - The medicine of the Ancient Ones, connecting us to the wisdom of our ancestors. Like the Buffalo Medicine flowing through our DNA, elderberries carry the healing songs of generations past.  Create Tinctures of Elderberries for Immunity & Strength

🌹 Rose Hips - The fruit of the rose, teaching us that beauty and medicine often come from the same source. As we honor Wakan Gli's return, rose hips remind us that sacred protection and healing love are one.  Sip Rose Hip Tea ~ Abundant in Vitamin C!

🌕 Wakan Gli's Message for the Rose Moon🌹

Under this Rose Full Moon, Wakan Gli's presence reminds us:

The Sacred Return is not just about the Buffalo—it's about remembering who we are as protectors of Mother Earth. Each fruit that ripens in June carries the promise that when we tend the sacred with love, abundance flows naturally.

As Chief Cyrus called the strongest and most courageous with three sacred breaths, Wakan Gli calls us to:

  • First Breath: Remember our sacred connection to all beings

  • Second Breath: Honor the prophecies fulfilled in our time

  • Third Breath: Commit to protecting the sacred for seven generations

🌙 Full Rose Moon Ritual: The Sacred Fruit Blessing🌹

On June 11th, as Grandmother Moon shines her fullest light:

  • Gather any June fruits available to you (strawberries, cherries, or even rose petals)

  • Hold them under the moonlight and speak: "Wakan Gli, Sacred Return, bless these fruits of Mother Earth's love"

  • Share them with family, friends, or leave some as an offering to the earth

  • As you taste each fruit, remember: You are part of the Sacred Return

✨ Looking Ahead: Summer Solstice Approaches June 20, 2025

Native North American Summer Solstice Celebrations Include:

  • Prayer: An important part of all Native American solstice celebrations.

  • Feasting: Celebrations often involve feasting.

  • Dancing: Dancing is a way to celebrate the solstice and connect with spirits.

  • Storytelling: Traditions and beliefs are passed on through storytelling.

As we move toward the Summer Solstice on June 20th, Grandfather Sun reaches his highest point, just as the prophecies of the White Buffalo have reached their fulfillment. The light grows strongest now, illuminating the path forward for all earth-conscious souls ready to answer the call of the Sacred Return.

Under this Rose Full Moon, we too celebrate the return—of the Buffalo, of ancient wisdom, of our sacred connection to Mother Earth and all her children.

Side Note:

🎂 Celebrating Birthdays

This June holds double celebration! As Wakan Gli marks his first sacred year on Earth, we also prepare to honor another guardian of Buffalo Medicine. On June 27th, my daughter, first born child was born. : ) On June 30th, as the month of roses and sacred fruits reaches its completion, we celebrate the 61st birthday of one who carries the ancient protection in her lineage—a descendant of the Gimbel family who protected the Buffalo alongside the Iroquois Haudenosaunee People centuries ago.

Like the "two-step, four-step, two-step, twirl!" dance passed down through generations, the sacred protection continues to flow through bloodlines, ensuring the prophecies are fulfilled and the Sacred Return is honored. A 61st Birthday!  Happy Birthday Aiyana!
